There is no such thing as a wrong or right way to make Sangria. It's all a personal preference. My favorite is:
Fill a pitcher with ice and cubed apples and strawberries (oranges too if you want). Fill 3/4 of the pitcher with a PAISANO or BURGUNDAY wine. Add a cup of Triple Sec, a cup of Brandy, a cup of Ice Tea for sweetness. Mix well and pour into a ice filled glass. DRINK UP!
